Hitarth Sheth, from Surat, belongs to this category of ignited minds. Aged 14, he has already developed 12 apps, and is on his way to launching his 13th app. Studying in 9th grade, in Bhulka Bhavan school, Hitarth started developing his first app at the age of 12. Today, within a span of 2 years, he has worked on creating websites, applications, and has even made 2 short films.
Computers always attracted Hitarth. He started learning a variety of things with the help of YouTube. After watching animated movies, he wanted to learn animation, and after some struggle, he started learning animation in his 5th standard. From there, he started using animation to make studies more interesting. He created an app, to remind his classmates of assigned homework. And his last app, Gujju Student is for all Gujarat board students, which helps them learn, connect with nearby students, solve queries, get content for studying, etc.
Currently, He is working on his 13th app, Buddhimaan, which will be for all Central Board students. He is planning on adding, easily comprehensible study video sessions for the same. His parents, teachers, and friends have been a constant support in this endeavor. The group of 4 friends including Hitarth work on content, try working on easier explanations for concepts and want to make learning easy with the help of technology. After this, he plans on focusing his time studying for his board’s examination.
When asked, Hitarth says Steve Jobs, inspires him. He has read and watched movies on Steve Jobs, and he aspires to leave a mark just like Steve. On talking about vision, Hitarth replied, “I want to be a catalyst for change in the educational system of India.” On parting note Hitarth says, he wants to work on improving the way our educational system works, the method of teachings, and the core system of learning, which in itself speaks about his ambitions in life.
