Sir Richard Branson: “Entrepreneurship is about turning what excites you in life into capital, so that you can do more of it and move forward with it.” Entrepreneur Aaliyah Pirzada, a lawyer by qualification took the saying to heart, and pursued her passion for makeup. She works as a freelance makeup artist, catering to a variety of demands. Aaliyah matches up the title of an artist, with her strokes of brushes doing wonders. She believes beauty comes in all forms, and makeup works as an enhancer to this natural beauty; an enhancer that helps in boosting a person’s confidence.
Aaliyah took the decision of becoming a makeup artist on an instinctual impulse. One fine morning Aaliyah woke up, knowing, she wanted to pursue the art, and left for learning it from a reputable institution. These instinctive impulses have led Aaliyah on the path of becoming, who she is. Starting with anchoring at the age of 16, Aaliyah took up various fields, including teaching, writing, law, and now, a makeup artist. All the while, pursuing only one thing, her vision for self dependence, and success.
It has only been short of a year, yet Aaliyah has gained an individual identity of her own in the field. She hasn’t left the teaching part behind, rather now conducting workshops, on makeup and grooming. She even invites senior makeup artists and other consultants, to guide her students. While she has experimented with various fields, she hasn’t left any of them with time. According to her, this is her way of growing, and becoming a better version of herself.
She aspires to make her parents happy, and proud. Her mother is her confidante, her constant support, and one that she looks upto as ideal. Aaliyah gains inspiration from all those women working out, living their dreams, and chasing their happiness. She lives by making these short term 6 months goals, then works on achieving them. Her aim in life, is to be happy, and at peace. To all the people out there, Aaliyah has only one message, “Be you, be the person that makes you happy. Go with those impulses, take up risks. Yes, they’ll come up with consequences, but the consequences are worth it.”
